COURSE OVERVIEW:

CLOSING IN JUNE 2002.

  The majestic and most historic course in Las Vegas is open and in great shape. The traditional layout is home to hundreds of mature trees, glistening lakes, beautiful flowers, well-manicured fairways and a long history. The who's-who of the world have played the course with many winning major titles. Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Karrie Webb and Nancy Lopez are among the winners of some of the more than 50 professional tournaments that have been played at the D.I. The course hosted the first PGA Tournament of Champions in 1953 (Al Besselink won) and recently hosted the PGA Tour's Las Vegas Invitational and the LPGA's Tour Championship. Past presidents and a host of celebrities have also played the layout.
